It's A Jen's Life
Sunday, 13 November 2005
Some things you do, some choices you make in your life, may leave you regretting what you have said or done. I'm trying not to live my life like that. When I say or do something, I am prepared to live with the consenquences no matter what they are. I can't live day to day wondering why I said this certain thing, or why I did this instead of that. The way I see it, is that I'm only going to live for so long. And If I spend my days regretting the past, what is my future going to hold? I have to have trust and faith in myself. That is the way I want to live day to day.

Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent. ~Eleanor Roosevelt Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within. ~Elisabeth K?bler-Ross When the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, it may be that they take better care of it there. ~Cecil Selig What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself. ~Harvey Fierstein Never apologize for showing feeling. When you do so, you apologize for the truth. ~Benjamin Disraeli Let the world know you as you are, not as you think you should be, because sooner or later, if you are posing, you will forget the pose, and then where are you? ~Fanny Brice Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. ~Dr. Seuss

Is laughter the best medicine??
I think it is... sometimes... It's nice to have someone to laugh with... I don't mean heeheehee laugh.. I mean laugh till you are purple in the face, tears pouring down your face.. your belly muscles aching sooo bad it feels like you've been at the gym all day long.. and if you move one more muscle, you are gonna pee in your pants laugh. That is a good kind of laugh... lol. I seem to be doing this quite frequently with a friend of mine. And most of the time, I don't even know where the laughing starts from... and the cute thing is, my kids sometimes join in... maybe they are embarrassed that thier Mother is laughing so hard... who knows... BUG!! BUG!! BEAT!! BEAT!! This is what my baby daughter was yelling today... she saw a bug on the floor, and decided to kill it. It was quite hilarious and cute. First she tried with her hands, yelling 'Beat! Beat!' as she was beating the bug. The she picked up her foam princess chair, and proceeded to beat the bug with that. When she decided the chair wasn't working, she found a little toy and beat it with that. I'm not too sure where the bug ended up... I know it was dead, but she spent about 10 mins. Beating on it. lol... I really don't think she likes bugs, lol. Mail day.. My son decided today, he was going to write my parents a letter. They are quite busy with work, and he doesn't see them as often as he used to. So he made a letter.. it was quite cute. He even put a secret message in it. I'm going to mail it off for him, along with the letter my eldest daughter wrote (drew) Speaking of my oldest daughter.. In the letter she made for her grandmother, she decided she was going to write the word 'Cookie'. She looked on a box of cookies that was sitting on the table... She brought to me her letter, saying cookie. I read the letter which really read 'Family Favorites' It was so hard to hold in my laughter, as she really thought she copied the word cookie, and couldn't understand why it didn't say that..

Doctor Vent!!
GRRRR!! Everytime I bring my kids to the doctor, he keeps makign comments on how small my kids are. Now last night when he saw my son, he said he was pale, and wants to run some tests on him. WTF!! Yes my kids are small, so are thier father and I. My son is NOT pale, he's his normal healthy self. I can't even switch doctors, cause you can't find any here... I called all doctors in this area, and he was the ONLY one accepting new patients. I'd like to find my old doctor and kick him upside the head for up and leaving town like that! And to make my vent even better... my eldest daughter has an 'upper respitory infection' and that's all the doc said, he put her on amoxicillian, cough syrup and tylenol.... fine.. I can GOOGLE upper respitory infections... when I do... I get all cat related links!! Can humans even get upper respitory infections?? Or are my kids and I seeing a VET doubling as a doctor????????????

Tis The Season...
For cold and flu's.. This morning, I'm taking my eldest daughter to the Children's Outpatients to be sure she doesn't have pnenomia... she has an aweful chest cold. I've already had one sick with pnenomia, I want to be sure she doesn't have it too.... not fun! I'll be taking my son to have his flu shot tonight... the girls have already had thiers... call me chicken, but I won't be getting mine... The way I see it, if their covered.. that's all that matters!! Time to break out the vitamin C, vick's Vapo Rub, soft kleenex's, cough syrups and halls... this season seems to have started way too early!!

Kids are back...
And I have accomplished a whole NOTHING!! Ok.. well, I cleaned the ferret cage... and fixed it up for them.. did the usual chores, but other than that... nada!! Why? Why everytime my kids go out with their Grandparents they lavish the older 2 with gifts and totally forget about the baby... she's not stupid and gets really jealous when they come in here with new stuff and nothing for her... Conflicts... I'm so tired of them.. everyone around me is having a conflict of some sort. Usually friend related. It's sad when we thing we know someone, then find out how wrong we've been. People should just treat other people they way they want to be treated. You know that age old advice that our Mothers gave to us, and thier mothers gave to them... I can't say I'm sick of everyone else's conflicts, as they dont' involve me, but I'm sick of my own, past, present or future. Weather// The sky is such a weird color today... it's actually looked green at one time... I think that's because it's gonna storm... big.. we've already had a storm, but maybe a tornado.. I doubt it, but why else would the sky be so weird?? These pic's don't really do any justice, since it's dark out now, but they are still weird non the less.. Anyone reading these? Just curious...

So this is what it's like...
With the older 2 kids gone for the week-end, I get up at 6:45am, FOR NO REASON AT ALL!! And don't sleep in, and can't go back to sleep!! I really miss them, so I'm sure that's why I'm up. I'm not used to them being gone except to school, and for the once in a while 2-4 hr. visit with my Dad... I'm sitting here, updating my blogs... and listening to Captain Planet which is on in the other room.. I HATED that show as a child, it was soooo boring. The kids love it.. go figure!! Sean and I went out on a 'date' last night.. the last time that happend was when we went to a party from JOE fm... to see if we won a trip to Jamacia.. guess what ~ We didn't, lol. So our 'date' went like this.. ~ Walked to Blockbuster.. ~ Went to Timmies, for a coffee and Ice Cap.. ~ Went to No Frills.. ~ Came home... Yup, that's it.. now that's an exciting date for ya!!

It really really needs to be tidied a lot!! There are a lot of us in this small space, and it gets messy really easily. Other thoughts... Not many, LOL... I can't think of anything else to write here... sometimes I wonder if people read this cause I get no comments, but other times, I woulnd't blame anyone for not reading it, as my life is a TAD boring, lol!!
